Membership Guidelines
Members shall be individuals whose occupation and activities are primarily in the advancement of linguistics and language education as a science and as profession, or those interested in the advancement of such.
There shall be the following categories of membership: honorary, student, institutional, regular, and lifetime. a. Any scholar of distinction in linguistics and language education may be elected an honorary member of the Society upon recommendation of the Board of Directors. b. Any undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in the regular academic year as a candidate for a degree in a recognized college or university may become a member upon payment of dues. c. Any institution may become a member upon payment of dues. |

Please fill out the membership form and then send your check payments to THE LSP SECRETARIAT, Philippine Social Science Council, PSSCenter, Commonwealth Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City 1101, PHILIPPINES.
You may also deposit your payments at any branch of the Bank of the Philippine Islands or Security Bank. Please indicate in the application form if this is your preferred mode of payment. We will then send you instructions by email. After full payment is received, the LSP secretariat will send you a membership number. Please note that the LSP does not issue membership ID cards. d. Any individual may become a regular or lifetime member upon payment of dues.
Members shall have the following responsibilities:
a. To serve in committees upon invitation of the Board of Directors;
b. To participate in annual general meetings, special meetings, monthly lectures and annual conferences;
c. To pay membership fees regularly, which is on or before January 31 of each year; and,
d. To engage in professional activities to forward the purposes of the Society.
Members shall have the following privileges:
a. To present papers at annual conferences of the Society upon approval of the program committee;
b. To regularly receive a copy of the Philippine Journal of Linguistics (PJL);
c. To elect (except institutional members) and be elected;
d. To regularly receive information about professorial chair lectures, special events, seminars, and other activities of the Society; and
e. To receive discounts on conference registration fees and other publications of the Society.
