CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION

With the theme, ““Language Education in the Philippines,” this conference aims to (1) examine appropriate and relevant content in curriculum development for mother tongue education; (2) present multiple ways of understanding the critical and positive contributions of mother tongues in the teaching of English; (3) present the World Englishes framework as it has evolved in linguistics, literature, and (4) provide a platform for educators and scholars to discuss the current trends, issues, and challenges in the teaching (and learning) of English in the 21st century.

The conference welcomes papers, poster, workshop, panel, and teaching demonstrations related to the theme and sub-themes of the conference.  Although English is preferred, presentations using other Philippine languages are also welcome!
